Build a Brand Identity with AI

Design a complete brand identity from scratch using AI — logo, color palette, typography, brand voice, and usage guidelines.

4 steps

1

Define your brand strategy and positioning

Before any visual design, nail your brand strategy: who you are, who you serve, what you stand for, and how you are different. Design without strategy is decoration.

Example prompt
Help me define a brand strategy for [BUSINESS NAME] in the [INDUSTRY] space. We serve [TARGET AUDIENCE]. Our key differentiator: [DIFFERENTIATOR]. Generate: brand mission statement, brand vision, 3 core brand values with explanations, brand personality (5 adjectives), and a brand positioning statement.
2

Generate logo concepts with AI

Use AI image generators and logo tools to create multiple logo directions. Aim for 3-5 distinct concepts before selecting one to refine.

Example prompt
Write detailed AI image generation prompts for 5 different logo concepts for [BRAND NAME] in [INDUSTRY]. For each concept: describe the visual style (minimalist/illustrative/geometric/wordmark/etc.), color mood, symbolism, and the exact prompt text to use in an image generator. Brand values: [VALUES].
3

Build your color palette and typography system

Define a primary color, 2 secondary colors, and 2 neutral colors. Choose 2 typefaces: one for headings, one for body. These two systems will drive 90% of your brand consistency.

Example prompt
Create a complete brand visual system for [BRAND NAME] with personality: [ADJECTIVES]. Include: primary color (hex), 2 secondary colors (hex), 2 neutrals (hex), color psychology rationale for each, recommended Google Fonts pairing (heading + body), and usage rules (when to use each color).
4

Write your brand voice guidelines

Brand voice governs how your brand writes and speaks everywhere — website, social media, emails, ads. Document it so anyone can write on-brand.

Example prompt
Write brand voice guidelines for [BRAND NAME]. Brand personality: [ADJECTIVES]. Target audience: [AUDIENCE]. Create: 5 voice attributes with do/don't examples for each, a tone-of-voice spectrum (casual to formal — where do we sit?), 3 before-and-after copy rewrites showing the voice in action, and 10 words we never use.
